  BONE DENSITY SCREENINGS
Some women are at greater risk of osteoporosis than others. Performing a bone density test can help determine risk.

A bone density test also measures the strength and density of bones.

If the results of the bone density test show that the individual is out of normal range, a discussion and retest with your doctor is recommended for diagnosis and treatment.

Test Procedure

Our equipment tests the non-dominant middle finger. No need to undress. There is clear evidence showing that the finger helps predict generalized fracture as well as other peripheral and axial techniques such as the heel. The precision in clinical subjects is within 1%. The accuracy error is lower than other peripheral and axial techniques. This BMD value is a relative indicator of bone density elsewhere in the body.

Scan time is just a few minutes. A printout is generated with the T score [comparing bone quality with that of a young adult reference], Z-score, and analysis based on the World Health Organization's [WHO] guidelines. The World Health Organization has established the T-Score as the criteria for diagnosing osteoporosis.

Our test advantages

The advantage of our bone density scan is that it can be performed on-site in just a few minutes. No need to undress. Counseling and educational materials.

A recent wide population-based study in the United States, the National Osteoporosis Risk Assessment study, concluded that peripheral bone assessment devices are highly predictive of fracture risk. The study recommended the use of these devices .. to identify ... osteoporosis. Our equipment is a peripheral bone assessment device specifically designed for osteoporosis screenings.
