Clam Dip

 
Ingredients:

2 cans chopped clams (Tuna sized cans) with liquid

1 t lemon juice

1 small onion, minced

1/2 green pepper, minced

1/4 pound (1 stick) butter or margarine

1 t parsley

1 t oregano

6 drops hot sauce

pepper to taste

3/4 cup bread crumbs

2T Parmesan cheese

     
Directions:  

Stuffing mushrooms, optional

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  2. Simmer first 2 ingredients for 15 minutes
  3. Simmer Add nest 7 ingredients and simmer until peppers and onions are soft, about 15 minutes.
  4. Add cheese and breadcrumbs
  5. Place in greased baking pan
  6. sprinkle with paprika and additional cheese
  7. bake uncovered at 450 for 15 minutes.

Note: For stuffed mushrooms:

  1. Remove stems
  2. Wash mushrooms, pat to dry after washing
  3. Stuff mushrooms with clam mixture topping with paprika and cheese
  4. Any mixture not used in mushrooms may be put in baking pan as above.
